Possible celebrity non-encounter
OK, so I was at Z’Marik’s today for lunch, and I saw a couple of guys walk across the street into Sam Goody. I think one of them was Rufus Wainwright. He’s playing a show in town tonight, so it’s not impossible. I like Rufus’s music and sort of wanted to go to the show, but not enough to spend the money on it in today’s tight financial times (downpayment and wedding coming up), and I also didn’t want to miss or be late for No Shame.
Of course, it might not have been him. As my friend Kaspar pointed out, Rufus Wainwright would probably not go into a store as dumb as Sam Goody, when Record Collector is just down the street.
