So remember how I was in that commercial? My friend sent me a Windows Media Player version of it. I’ll get it on VHS eventually, but for those of you with Windows Media Player, you get to see it now. It’s actually pretty well-done. I think I look dorky, especially in the parts where I’m playing with the sproingy things and dinging the gong, but it’s kind of cute-dorky (I hope).

Don’t fuss over the dork factor. All commercials are pretty dorky, when you really look at them. You’re only noticing it in this case because it’s you. 🙂
True, though surely everyone can recognize the dorkiness of some commercials, such as “Wouldn’t you rather be with KGB” (it’s not really KGB, but I can’t remember the letters and KGB is funnier) with the people dancing around awkwardly. I feel terrible for those people.

You’re not even in KBD territory. You’re in retail-commercial-baseline dorkiness range. We’d tell you if you looked like the KBD lady, I promise.
Part of the KBD lady’s trouble is that she clearly knows how dorky she looks. If she’d just committed, you know, she might have transcended dork and moved right into camp.
