Alien

I’m wearing a snug-fitting top today, and for the first time, I’ve been able to see my abdomen move when Bisquito kicks.

It is trippy as hell, let me tell you.

I think Bisqui may have turned head down, because I’m feeling a lot more movement up around my ribs, which is probably also why I can see it, because there’s less padding there than on my lower belly. It’s cute now, but I could see it getting really uncomfortable when Bisqui weighs another six pounds.

If I can catch him/her in the act tonight, I’ll videotape it with the camera my brother so kindly gave me (thanks, Uncle Tyler!).

Indeed, ever paragraph of this post began with the letter I.

  1. Impressive! Wait until Bisqui is playing the xylophone on your ribs with its little feet; my wife says that’s quite up there with chomping on tin foil.

Intriguing, but very surreal to watch a foot press out on a belly. Makes you feel like Sigourney Weaver.

Sigourney Weaver? She didn’t get it until, what, Alien 3? I’m thinking more John Hurt. Or at least Tom Skerritt. 😉

I guess the closest I’ll get to that is a bad case of indigestion.

Are you familiar with The Magnetic Fields? If you’re not, you should be. Their last album was called I, and all the song titles began with the letter I.
