Accomplishments

Today, we got our homeowners’ and auto insurance squared away. Thanks to Denny’s fervent research, we got a good deal through Farm Bureau. We also went to the post office, where I sent a gift to my Secret Santa partner from The Women’s Room (an online discussion group I participate in) and we submitted change of address forms.

Oh, I did some work, too. After work we’re going to go running. One of these days we should start packing, too. Hm. Tomorrow, perhaps, or maybe even tonight I could go to Jamal and Alyssa’s and get stuff boxed up there. Fortunately I don’t have too much big stuff, just a lot of clothes and books and a few furniture items.

The good thing about buying a house is that we never have to move again if we don’t want to. Chances are we will, but it’s nice to know that not moving is an option.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the hilarious Italian song. I have lots more robot songs if you want them, Sadie. For a while there I was going to have a robot party, but I never did. Maybe I still will someday. Too much to think about right now, though.

I tried to listen to the hilarious Italian song, but my computer won’t help me out. Is there another way you can send it to me? Thanks.

It would be kind of a big attachment. Try holding down the Control key and clicking the link. You should see an option that says something like “Save link target as…” or “Save link as” or “Save as.” Then just save it to your desktop. Double-click it, and it should play automatically in iTunes.

You’re getting your house the same time of year that I did – it’s almost the two-year anniverary of me closing on my house! Can you believe it? I closed the day before Thanksgiving in 2002. I think it’s the perfect time of year to move into a new home. Everything’s all festive and you can decorate for Christmas and feel at home right away! Or at least that’s what I did. And I was so happy to announce my big news in my first Christmas letter. I have such good memories of that day. Congrats again and good luck at your closing! I hope everything goes smoothly.

Oh man. I could die happy if ever there were to be a robot party!
