…that when I got back to my desk after the appointment this morning, there was a bouquet of roses, irises, daisies, and something else I can’t identify (raspberry-purple colored and multi-bloom, like a hyacinth but not exactly) that had been delivered in my absence.
The note read, “Happy anniversary and happy heart beat. Love, Denny.”
