The local elections and gubernatorial primaries are tonight. Woot! I love voting.
Dinner from the freezer: tomato sauce with sausage over whole wheat pasta, served with a spinach salad. The pasta and spinach weren’t in the freezer. And you were so worried. Thanks for the inspiration, map.
I wish I were an accomplished maker of onion glass. Sadly, I don’t know where I’d get glucose, agave syrup, or these “grams” to which they refer. Crazy metric hippies.
Our last couple CSA shares have been LOADED with the best spinach. God, that stuff is good. Really dark green and meaty. Tonight’s CSA night again! I can’t wait to see what we get.
When does the CSA season begin? Is it too late to join up for this year? Also, can you opt out of a week when you’re going to be out of town or something?
I believe our season begins (began) with the market. I don’t know about joining up now, but all of your questions can be answered by the woman who runs our CSA: zjfarm@ia.net
The season starts out a bit slow, but in a couple weeks we’ll have loads and loads of all sorts of awesome stuff. The thing I like about the ZJ Farm CSA is that Susan grows all sorts of interesting veggies right along with the usual suspects.
Over There, they tend to measure everything out by weighing it. Great in baking, though a little painful otherwise.
