I am in Dallas now.  We arrived lateish last night.  I was very hungry and the stupid hotel bar stops serving food at 10, but fortunately there was an all-night diner-type place a couple of blocks away, so we got a bite there.

Denny’s been at his training event all day.  My conference doesn’t officially start until tomorrow, although there’s a reception tonight I might go to.  This morning I was hoping to go to the Dallas Museum of Art, but unfortunately it’s closed on Mondays.  I went to the Dallas World Aquarium instead, which was pretty good but not as much fun for me as an art museum.  There were rude children who wouldn’t be quiet and watch the movie about otters.

The real otters were cute, though, as were the baby penguins.  I wonder if they enjoy being outside in Dallas.  It was more like a mini-zoo than an aquarium, really; there was even a panther.  It was scary, because the path was laid out in such a way that you round a corner, and out of nowhere, a panther is facing you with only a layer of plexiglass between you.  It looked grumpy.  I would be too.

After the aquarium I came back to the hotel, used the fitness facilities, and have just been hanging out waiting for Denny to come back.
